Situated just a hop, skip and jump away from the Asok BTS station the Hundred Children cafe plays accessibility to it’s advantage. One part Chinese tea room and two parts American style eatery the Hundred Children cafe and gallery is decent choice for those stomping around the lower Sukhumvit area. It comes as no surprise that this cafe sees a constant stream of farang clutching their travel bibles/lonely planet guide books or 40 year old British expat teachers who are partially reasonable for shaping the minds of Thailand’s future generations. Crazy. The menus is basic, but KohSpot recommends sticking with tropical fruit smoothies and caffeinated beverages as the food is passable at best consisting mostly of bagel sandwhiches, tuna salads and pizza
The Hundred Children cafe and gallery promotes an “Authentic Chinese ambience”. Seriously, what the %@&5 does that even mean? For KohSpot it means a nice quiet cafe to diddle away a few hours, tip tapping on a laptop. Plop down on a comfy chair, take in the various Chinese knick-knacks, lamps and furniture and get some work done utilizing the free WIFI. Alternatively, use the free Internet to update your Facebook or Twitter account with a “OMG, strawberry smoothies at Hundred Children so delightful. Am I in heaven? LOL.” message, but then you would just be the Internet’s biggest pollutant of thought-farts.
